Secret Identity: Possibly a Power Ranger. Probably.
Most people were slingin’ long style begleri when Robert entered the scene, but not this guy. Robert came in flipping the script, repping short game play like it was the only way. That alone caught our attention, but it was his precision, passion, and smooth flow that sealed the deal.
It all started with a fateful set of Private Reserves. The way Robert tells it, that set got him hooked on MFD. (The way we see it, they practically jumped into his hands!) Even now, it’s still his ride or die set. In fact, he loved them so much that we made him his own custom version, yep, those are the ones he’s flexing in his player card photo.
Now, if you’ve ever seen a photo of Robert holding a yoyo and thought, “Wait, is that a mini throw?”, let us clear things up. Nope, that’s a full sized yoyo… Robert’s just a big guy. Like, power chord slammin’, drum kit thumpin’, all star catcher big.
Outside the skill toy world, Robert’s a music man through and through. Drums? Check. Guitar? Check. Family karaoke sessions? Every. Damn. Week. And when he’s not jamming, he’s watching baseball, his favourite sport by far. Fun fact: his Series 1 player card features him playing in the freakin’ MLB. (Ok, not officially… but if we had a Team MFD fantasy league, he’d be our first pick.)
As for yoyo? The Backstage Pass is where it’s at for Robert. Precision, balance, power, it’s everything he loves wrapped into one finely tuned beast of a throw.
Power Rangers? Yeah, he says they’re “for the kids.” But we all know he’s morphin’ time on the regular. It’s cool, Robert. Your secret’s safe with us.
