THE LEGACY THROW

2EVIL: The name says it all

This wasn’t just another throw, it was the rebirth of the OG.

Sidebar: The sequel that didn’t just live up to the hype… it elbow-dropped it.

Our very first release, the Evil-Yo, was loud, sharp, and unapologetically weird. It broke the mold and tossed the pieces. And now, years later, it was time to revisit that energy, but do it with everything we’d learned since.

This would be our homage.
Our throwback.
Our evolved beast.

Sidebar: From chaos comes clarity. And more chaos.

We gave ourselves rules. Time limits.
The 2Evil had to hit like the original, in your face, non-conforming, and absolutely unmistakable.
That massive catch zone? Still there.
But those wild, jagged cuts from the original? Smoothed out into flowing contours.
We beefed up the rims. Dropped the centering deeper into the cup.
It wasn’t about reinventing, it was about refining the monster.

She was ready for protos.
Fingers crossed there were no file mix-ups this time.

(Cough Gelada 2.1 cough.)

And when the box landed?

Ray didn’t even blink. Straight to the anodizing tank.

Sidebar: One week later… cue the SpongeBob narrator voice.

First throw, first moment, first bind, done.
Ray didn’t even get the string off his finger before he was hammering out the production order.
It just felt right.

Then came the graphics.

You know we don’t slap just anything on a throw. We build characters.
We build stories.

Enter Franken Cranky, screw through the head, stitched up grin, stitched together attitude.
It was the perfect avatar for a yo-yo built from the bones of the past and supercharged with new tricks.

Sidebar: He’s alive. He’s ANGRY. He’s ready to throw down.

2Evil wasn’t chasing gold medals or speed ladders.
It was built to feel good. Sit in your pocket. Be the go to for practice, for flow, for fun.

And for years, it was exactly that.

Ray still tosses it in the Lab. Still feels that same spark every time.

And if you ask us now if we’d change anything?

Not a chance.

Sidebar: OK, maybe a tweak, just maybe?!?
