AOTUS
THE SHAPE-SHIFTING SIGNATURE
AOTUS
On paper, 2020 looked like a quiet year.
But behind the scenes?
We were hitting it hard.
When COVID shut the world down, something strange happened:
Ray suddenly had time.
Like… real time.
For the first time since MonkeyfingeR was born, Ray didn’t have a full-time job to juggle.
Seven days a week.
Full throttle. Full focus.
Straight into the Lab.
Sidebar: Imagine a kid breaking into a candy store, now swap the kid for Ray and the candy for anodized aluminum.
Work was slow. Employees were off.
But the anodizing tank?
Overdrive.
Restock after restock started flying out the door.
We needed the wins, especially after the Caesar Helium crash landing.
And right on cue,
It was time for a signature throw.
Not just any player.
Will Hahn.
Yeah, that Will.
The dude behind the CAD work on the Conspiracy and the Tri-B.
The quiet powerhouse who had already helped define MonkeyfingeR’s DNA.
Now it was his turn.
He throws every style
Here’s the thing about Will:
He doesn’t just throw. He throws, in every style.
1A? Of course.
4A? Yup.
Let’s sprinkle in some 3A while we’re at it.
Sidebar: You’re looking at a technical chameleon, and this throw needed to reflect that.
Say hello to: AOTUS.
This wasn’t a team design.
This wasn’t a collab.
This was pure Will.
He handled the whole thing, start to finish.
Sent Ray the drawings.
Done.
Prototype?
Fire
Production run?
Let’s go.
The performance?
Exactly what you’d expect from a player this versatile.
AOTUS flexed across styles like it was born for it.
Smooth for 1A.
Stable for 3A.
5A, let’s go!
A real deal shape shifter.
Sidebar: AOTUS isn’t just a throw. It’s a passport between yo-yo disciplines.
And, like most MFD releases, Cranky is hiding in the artwork somewhere.
Can you spot him in the “Night” edition sticker?
He’s there.
Always watching. Always lurking.
It’s our version of “Where’s Waldo”, but with a lot more attitude.
Sidebar: Shoutout to Will for knocking this one out of the park.
Ray still throws his AOTUS all the time. That’s how you know.
Great job Will!!
