If there’s one thing Louis doesn’t believe in, it’s standing still.
A lifelong explorer of the great outdoors, Louis is equal parts bushcrafter, martial artist, and MFD visionary. When he’s not off grid kayaking, fishing, or crafting campfire shelters out of sticks and sheer willpower, he’s deep diving the creative jungle, hunting for what’s next in the world of MonkeyfingeR Design. Whether it’s fidget toys, colourways, or counterweight chaos, if it’s wild, weird, and wonderful, Louis is probably working on it.
His MFD story started the way all great ones do, by standing out. Louis began posting jaw-droppingly vivid yoyo photos nestled in flowers and foliage that perfectly matched our colourways. It wasn’t a filter, it was an instinct. And no one else was doing it. Ray noticed. A few chats later and,BOOM, Louis was officially on the team as our product photographer, visual storyteller, and chaos curator. And we’ve never looked back.
These days, when Louis isn’t mid photo shoot or snapping MonkeySNAPS mid commute, he’s turning heads by throwing in public whenever the mood hits. Sidewalk, bus stop, grocery aisle, doesn’t matter. If the vibes are right, throws are flying. His passion turned into purpose, and now he reps MFD like a walking, whirling, one man show.

But Louis didn’t stop there…
Partnering with Scouting America, Louis brings the string game to troop meetings, teaching Scouts the rich history of yoyoing while guiding them through hands on tricks to earn their official Yo-Yo Merit Badge. It’s part education, part entertainment, all heart.
Colourway Creator Extraordinaire
You know those fire MFD colourways like Irradiated Guano, Odin, and the Halloween-hyped Toil and Trouble? That’s Louis magic. His creative input helped shape them into full-blown product colour-ways. And based on the wild ideas he’s still cooking up, we’ve barely scratched the surface.
This dude is a walking fountain of colour combos, community connection, and constant inspiration.

As if Louis didn’t already have his hands full, he went ahead and did the most Louis thing ever, launched a yo-yo club in Orange County New York, built entirely around MFD fans. Crazy, right?! But he’s not just slinging tricks for fun, he’s on a mission to get today’s youth hooked on the art of the throw. You know what they say, idle hands are the devil’s playground, so why not put a yo-yo in them? 😏 Word on the street is, he’s secretly scouting for the next world champion, someone we can shape into an MFD legend.
