Begleri

What's a begleri you ask?

Begleri (Greek: μπεγλέρι) is a small skill toy consisting of one or more beads at either end of a short string. The string length varies as per user.  The toy can be spun, twirled and flipped around the fingers and thumb to perform tricks. Begleri originated in Greece, and originally derived from the Greek rosary or komboloi, which serve the function of worry beads, and are often used to pass the time while flipping them. We have all heard the saying idle hands do the devils work. While komboloi have beads forming a closed circle, begleri beads are threaded on an open strand, usually fastened on each enduring equal weight.   Begleri come in many forms, consisting of semi-precious stone, plastics,  and metal beads.

The KOKOnutz begleri were developed in an endeavor to push the boundaries of design and function. The unique shape puts the essence of gravity low on the bead making them feel heavier than they are. The shape also lends itself to easily slide between your fingers for more complicated tricks and maneuvers. With the release of the KOKOnutz MonkeyfingeR was the first to introduce two new technologies to the sport. The ability to alter the weight of your burglary beads and a protection system that helps prevent damage to your beads through bumpers. Placing the power of play in the hands of the player they can decide both the weight and the look of their beads. Slung by professionals and amateurs alike the comfortable feel, agility and customizability makes this design a must for any begleri collection.

Leaving behind old world designs and ideas MonkeyfingeR Ray decided on using a more modern and durable material 7075 aircraft aluminum.
